The Community of our 2 villages, Hougham and Marston united to "Save our Pub". However, The Thorold is much more than just a Pub, it's a Community Hub, the heart of the Villages, and in addition to the pub and restaurant it offers:

The shop offers a great selection of food, groceries, wine, everyday essentials, and locally sourced produce. You'll find fresh bread, milk, cakes, vegetables, meats and eggs to name but a few items - most supplied by local bunsiness. We're always on the lookout for volunteers to help run the shop, contact us if you can spare a few hours!

Post Office
The Thorold operates a regular weekly outreach Post Office on Wednesdays. The Post Office is open from 9:30am until 12:00pm alongside the Café.
Return that broken Amazon gadget, buy some stamps, and withdraw a few quid from your bank account to fund a delicious slice of cake and a freshly brewed coffee. Maybe hang around and take in a delicious light Lunch?

Coffee Shop
The Thorold opens its doors at 9:30am every Wednesday and serves a Coffee Shop menu which offers locally sourced Stokes's Coffee from Lincoln and delicious home-made cakes. Lunch follows at midday.
