Preamble

When you make your booking, you are entering into an agreement with us.
Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

Arrival and Departure

Check in is available from 3pm to 9pm on the day of arrival.
Check-in times outside of this must be confirmed with us prior to arrival.
We ask that you please vacate your room by 10.30am on the morning of departure.

Reservations and Payments

In order to secure your reservation, valid credit or debit card details must be provided at the time of booking.
A non-refundable deposit for the first night's stay will be taken at this time.
Any remaining balance will be due on arrival. No refund will be offered for no-shows or early departures.

Cancellation by the Guest

We are a small business, so cancellations have a big impact on us.
We take all bookings in good faith and any pre-booking of accommodation or goods, services, meals, or drinks (verbal or written) forms a legally binding contract. We do appreciate that unforeseen circumstances happen. Cancellation is free of charge if the booking is cancelled before 6pm, 7 days before Check-In. Less than this, and you will be charged for the first night of your stay.

Cancellation by Us

Should it become necessary for us to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full. Our liability will not extend beyond these conditions.

Car Parking

There is on-site and on-street parking.
However, we cannot accept any liability for damage or loss while parked on our premises.

Change of Room

If a booking is taken out for a specific room and the room reserved is rendered unusable due to circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to an alternative room of similar quality.

Damage and Breakages

You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damage which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur especially if you spill something – it is much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly. We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for replacement, repair, or making good if the damage is significant. Our rooms are not set up for dining and we respectfully ask that guests refrain from taking meals in the rooms.

Keys

You have access to the building and your room 24 hours a day throughout your stay using the key(s) given to you when you register on arrival. You have full responsibility for these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at £25 per key.

Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.

Lost Property

We are happy to return items that have been left following departure. However, we reserve the right to charge to cover postage and packaging.

Pets

Pets are only permitted in The Thorold B&B room Nightjar. Although we deep clean after our 4 footed friends, we reserve Curlew for guests that might be allergic to animals.

Prices

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. This does not affect bookings already made.

Liability

We do not accept liability for any damage, loss, or injury to you or any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.

Smoking

Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is NOT permitted in any part of The Thorold including the B&B rooms. Please note that offending guests may be asked to leave immediately and may be liable for the cost of professional cleaning of any B&B rooms. Any payments already made for nights not used will not be refunded.

Termination Policy

The Thorold B&B reserves the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, an individual's stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others. In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, and no refunds will be made.

Wi-Fi Access

By using our Wi-Fi Service you automatically agree to the terms and conditions of use in force at the time.

General
